One of the best eel rice I ever have💕💕 This restaurant open more nearly 150 years in Japan and only at Nagoya area. Hence if you’re in town, it’s a must to try restaurant!!ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘

A must try when visiting Nagoya. Went on weekday night at 5pm. No line at the store, but it was nearly full house after twenty minutes. This is a good restaurant serving very delicious grilled ell on rice, the eel was amazingly crispy and soft. Service was quick and attentive.

Incredible Hitsumabushi. The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere and the staff is super friendly. The Hitsumabushi set was so delicious. A unique way to eat unagi in Nagoya and you will be provided with explanations. At Atsuta they have a secret sauce that makes the taste so exquisite. They have been in business for more than a century and you can feel it. I have also tried the eel liver with there sauce and it was so delicious. Fair price for something unmissable if you are in the area

The reservation is not accepted, at least on the weekend. So, please prepare for 40-50 minutes queue during weekend. It worth the wait though.

This is a good restaurant serving outstanding grilled eel on rice! The eel was amazingly crispy & soft! And the staffs were politely nice!

Must try if you are in Nagoya. The eel omelette is amazing! Worth the waiting and price.

A must try in Nagoya which is famous for its three ways of eating eel over rice. Arrived around 12pm on a weekday, short line but moved pretty fast. Food is exquisite. The idea of eel liver is a bit scary but actually tasted really good. The famous set for eel&rice is amazing, the regular size is enough for an adult with a good appetite. Price is fair as eel is a bit expensive everywhere. No reservation needed.

Hitsumabushi was amazing and staff were very helpful - if you are not a big eater, best to have 'Half Size' Hitsumabushi and not a full size. Better to have the Hitsumabushi here to avoid the queue at Jingu-mae (the main restaurant). It is on a pricy side but worth it

The eel is not as crispy as some other similar restaurants.

This place was so good and very foreigner friendly. When my friend and I sat down they asked if I wanted an English menu, and seemed competent to be able to speak English. The steps on how to best enjoy the é°» we're a great suggestion as well, and it was such a delicious meal with great service ðŸ‘

suggest everyone should visit once in NagoyaðŸ‘ðŸ»really love it.

Something different to try but the queue is crazy. Waited for 95 minutes for this. Big portion of unagi with fragrant of grill, not too sweet which is the highlight of this restaurant

The best grilled eel with rice I have ever tasted. Try the Nagoya style grilled eel set. The queue is quite long in the evening but it’s worth for waiting.

A branch of atsuta located in a mall right at level 10. Not much queue and it was smooth. The deco is simple , but the food is great. There is 3 ways of eating it like any other unagi meal. love the seasoning way most!

The food is delicious especially the tamago with little bits of eel. The staffs are friendly too. But it is better to come before dinner time. We came around 5pm and though there was a line, we waited for around 20 mins only

Premium grill eel in Aichi Prefecture. Located inside the department store which is close to the city subway. Price morderate. Also provide sets and dishes other than eel, ie teriyaki and karage chicken.

à¸à¸£à¹ˆà¸à¸¢à¸¡à¸²à¸ — A MUST try when visiting Nagoya. Very delicious unagi rice. English menu available. For this branch it’s not too crowded after 7 pm. Last order is 8.30 pm.

Very high quality of ingredient, good taste and reasonable price (regular size 3900, large size 5500 yen)

Nice eel dishes but non eel dishes (tempura and fried chicken) which some of us had are a let down.

good service and i don.t see any queue during my visit, so lucky. i quite like the rice adding soup than the original one. good for family visit but may be too pricey if coming in a large group.

Super long queue, 1 hour and 40 mins wait but was worth it. Definitely recommend to try for anyone who has free time to wait, pricey but worth the price.

It’s the best Unagi that I have ever had.

The price is quite high, but still can try the signature eel if you have not tasted it amazing Japanese cuisine before!

Good food with great service. The unagi is cooked just right, not too soft nor hard, you can still feel the texture of the meat and skin. One thing to consider is the queue. If you’re visiting on a weekend, and during dinner time, please expect 30’-60’ waiting time. They have an english menu, and instruction on how to eat Hitsumabushi. Dont forget to try the Sembei (unagi bone)!! If you’re not extremely hungry, just go for the regular portion, not the large one.
Hananda Chin
Nice unagi hitsumabushi. Large size is so big
Michael Chang
If it calls itself the best, I wouldn’t disagree!Just order the most expensive set or maybe go for the extra size. It’s like $45 per person for the extra size set. It won’t disappoint you.We wait for only 15 minutes before getting our table. Maybe we got lucky. It could be longer. One very important thing: it does not require a reservation!!! The information on Google Maps is very misleading!!!

The best of Grilled Unagi.

Had a regular Hitsumabushi set as dinner. The thinly sliced grilled eel was delicious and crispy. Really like the sweet `secret` sauce.

A MUST try eel rice in Nagoya. Highly RECOMMEND to come earlier as it always had a long queue. I have waited for over an hour but it's worthy to spend time for this delicious and authenic Nagoya's cuisine. You won't regret!

Delicious with nice service

A must visit for the foodie tourist. On the pricy side, 3900 yen for a regular portion. Eel: delicious. Service: excellent. English menu and instructions on how to eat Hitsumabushi. Sake served in an ice box. Great presentation, good environment. I recommend the regular portion as it was quite filling. They “refill†your tea by giving you a new cup.

This is a must try in Nagoya. I didn't have to queue during non rush hours. The dishes are quite expensive compared to what they are, unagi was very delicious but I felt like it was still overpriced. The unagi omellet was nice too. The service was quite slow even at non peak hours because there are still a lot of people in the restaurant.
